Description
The University of Chicago's Department of Medicine, Section of Geriatrics & Palliative Medicine, is searching for full-time Academic Palliative Medicine physicians at the Assistant Professor rank to join our Palliative Medicine Program. The appointees will manage patients in our inpatient palliative medicine consultation service and collaborate on multidisciplinary patient care within our embedded palliative medicine clinics at our main campus and other Chicagoland locations. They may also lead interdisciplinary team meetings and conduct home hospice visits. Other duties will include teaching and supervising trainees and students, as well as scholarly activity. Compensation depends on qualifications. These positions are benefits-eligible. Prior to the start of employment, qualified applicants must: 1) have a medical doctorate or equivalent, 2) hold or be eligible for medical licensure in the State of Illinois, and 3) be Board Certified or Eligible in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
