Missile Tracking Systems Engineer

Scottsdale, AZ

Pay Estimated: $68.12 - $73.12 /Hour

Active Secret Clearance Required

Contribute to a company at the forefront of mission-critical systems and technologies in defense and security. This leader in global defense integrates advanced technology to deliver information and insights on the battlefield, offering roles that support security and technological superiority across multiple domains.

Responsibilities:

• Perform systems engineering by decomposing requirements into detailed traffic flow and communication models
• Design and model satellite constellation-to-ground network data flows, including throughput, latency, routing, and prioritization
• Support pre-planned and dynamic satellite scheduling and service allocation for missile tracking operations
• Analyze missile tracking data and communication performance metrics to validate and optimize traffic models
• Support integration, testing, deployment, and sustainment of ground entry points, operations centers, and enterprise communication infrastructure

Qualifications:

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering or related STEM field OR Master's degree plus 5 years of related experience
• Active DoD Top Secret security clearance required at time of hire.
• 3 Years of job-related experience
• Core Technical Expertise:
  • Communication traffic modeling and network simulation
  • Satellite constellation architectures (LEO/MEO/GEO)
  • RF communications protocols
  • End-to-end packet routing and prioritization
  • Systems architecture and requirements decomposition

Preferred Qualifications:

• Missile tracking systems architecture
• Sensor fusion techniques
• Satellite tasking and service scheduling logic
• Cloud technologies in distributed system design
• Image processing (collection, storage, analysis)
• Experience supporting DoD space or missile defense programs
