About this position: Archeological Monitor - Supervisor Location - Santa Fe, NM

Wage/Salary Range: $65k - 70k

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provide on-site cultural resource monitoring during all ground disturbing activities during the construction of the PBRWS.
- Assist in the identification of archaeological deposits; evaluate deposits using a standardized log form for recording results, observe historic architectural structures for possible impacts from ground disturbing activities; and ensure protocols are followed as outlined in monitoring plans.
- Provide daily reports of all monitoring activities.
- Perform all cultural resource monitoring in low risk to high-risk construction work areas and shall adhere to all Safety protocols.
- Work closely with all contractors during all ground disturbing activities.
- Adhere to all local government access permits.
- Ensure all reporting be performed in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Be required to complete an OSHA Construction training course.
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications -
Education Requirements: High school diploma
- Level of Experience Requirements:
- Experience working with tribal governments and cultural resource monitoring.
- Field experience in general monitoring and daily reporting.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics - An enrolled member of a New Mexico Pueblo / Tribe.
- Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office applications and use of Windows and/or Mac
computers.
Preferred - Must have experience in project management, monitoring, cultural resource investigations, pre-field
- surveys, mapping and agency consultation.
- Must have job experience associated with cultural resource management and have the knowledge,
- skills, and training required to complete archaeological and architectural monitoring.
- Must be able to perform the required duties of this position with little to no supervision.
Supervisory Responsibilities - This position will have supervisory responsibilities. You may delete this line if it does not apply to the job.
- Supervise Archaeological Monitors daily
- Ensure Archaeological Monitors submit daily reports in a timely manner
- Review all daily reports
