Volt is immediately hiring for Assembly Operator III at ARDEN, North Carolina 28704.
As an Assembly Operator III, you will be responsible for:
• Polish and test fiber optic cables.
• Assemble and package fiber optic connector components.
• Terminate single and multi-fiber cables.
• Inspect own work using quality standards and work instructions.
• Conduct tests as needed for particular operations.
• Measure components using calipers, gages, or other measuring devices.
• Inspect product to print.
• Complete necessary operational paperwork required to maintain the traceability of product.
• May troubleshoot and perform minor repairs to equipment.
• General housekeeping of work area.
• Follow company and department guidelines, procedures and policies.
• Follow safety guidelines.
• Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.
• Read and perform tasks according to drawings.
• Recognize common fiber connectors.
• Knowledge of cleaning methods and contamination assessment for optical assembly.
This is a Full-Time Contract opportunity.
The ideal candidate will have:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Manufacturing experience assembling intricate components by hand (circuit boards, detailed electrical assemblies, medical components, or other small, complex parts)
Experience working in a clean room environment is a plus - High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum one year manufacturing experience preferred.
- Experience with manufacturing fiber cables preferred.
- SAP Manufacturing & ISO 9001 experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of hand tools and blueprint reading.
Schedule: 1st Shift. 2nd Shift (3pm-11:30pm).
Weekend, Friday through Sunday, 7AM-7PM. Pay Range*: $20/hr. - $24.40/hr. *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
