Day-To-Day

• Assists in the overall management of all levels of staff, including participating in all evaluations.
• Maintains the overall security and operational control of the assigned facility.
• Serves as facility disciplinarian at the direction of the VP of Re-entry.
• Monitors and ensures implementation of the programming aspects for the facility based on contractual requirements.
• Controls contraband in facility through general observation, facility searches, and client searches.
• Provides on-call coverage as scheduled.
• Performs unannounced visits as directed.
• Assists the VP of Re-entry in the development and implementation of a staff training program.
• Acts in the capacity of the Facility Director/VP in the absence of the Director/VP of Re-entry.
• Manages the program's financial activities including supervision of client referrals and budget line item expenditures.
• Ensures that all expenditures are within the budget established for the program.
• The expectation is for the program to operate within budget.
• Assists the VP of Re-entry with preparation of revised operational plans, if necessary, to address significant changes to client count, revenue and/or expense.
• Supervises, supports, motivates, and empowers the members of his/her team.
• Ensures that all departmental human resources responsibilities are met: hiring, firing, staff training, career development, succession planning, equal employment opportunity, health and safety issues, evaluations and performance management for all staff operating each of the distinct programs.
• Builds cross functionality among service team members and other departments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services or related field plus two years of transferable experience and at least two years of supervisory experience OR Six years directly related, transferable residential experience with at least two years of supervisory experience OR Equivalent combination of education and experience (which includes at least two years of supervisory experience). Half-way House or Corrections experience preferred.

Valid Texas Driver's License, clear MVR and ability to be insured.
