The Operations Assistant provides operational and administrative support, streamlines daily operations, and enhances processes under direct supervision. The Operations Assistant will handle routine tasks such as preparing materials for manager approval, scheduling, supporting inter-department projects and interactions, and performing assigned project tasks.
What You Will Do:
- Provides operational and administrative support to internal and external clients supported under direct supervision.
- Assists with preparation of materials, scheduling, supporting inter-departmental projects and interactions.
- Follows up with project team and clients to ensure work is completed on schedule and to client's satisfaction.
- Identifies opportunities to streamline daily operations, project coordination, and enhance processes.
- Develops relationships with internal/external customers and key stakeholders to identify new opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance collaboration amongst the team.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to support various projects and initiatives.
- Develops a firm understanding of business to formulate opportunities to enhance effectiveness and efficiencies.
What You Will Need: Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- 0-2 years of relevant experience, previous related industry experience preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Working knowledge of Power BI, SharePoint, MS Teams and Excell for developing finical spreadsheets and project reports
- Ability to gain and retain knowledge shared by supervisor and team supported
- Ability to actively listen to the needs of internal and external clients supported by receiving shared information and determine context of the information provided
- Openly accept change as part of business evolution to meet the needs of our clients
- Understands key performance indicators and their significance to the business
- Ability to establish rapport with existing internal clients and key stakeholders to identify new opportunities to increase efficiency and enhance collaboration amongst teams
- Must understand assigned responsibilities and hold themself accountable for keeping commitments, including taking responsibility for their actions and behaviors, actively participating in daily activities, and producing an expected quantity and quality of work
- Must be dependable and consistent
- Must consistently complete work assignments utilizing basic time management skills
- Working knowledge of the ABS Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental Management System
