We currently have an exciting career opportunity for an Assurance Manager to join the team in our Baltimore office in a hybrid capacity.
CohnReznick is a hybrid firm and most of our professionals are located within a commutable distance to one of our offices. This position is considered hybrid which means team members are expected to be thoughtful and intentional in how they create opportunities for in-person collaboration. While the cadence of in-office presence is determined at the team level, our professionals are encouraged to be in the office/together in person on average 3 days a week.
YOUR TEAM.
This position will support our CHAMP (Consumer Hospitality and Manufacturing Practice) industry group. This group provides assurance services to a diverse blend of manufacturing, distribution, cannabis, hospitality and transformation clients.

YOUR ROLE.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Serve as the engagement lead on specific client accounts and oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple assurance engagements
- Take responsibility for pre-engagement engagement strategy, risk assessment, planning, execution, and final deliverables, ensuring quality service and adherence to agreed-upon timelines.
- Monitor engagement team performance by providing direct supervision, setting appropriate expectations, monitoring budgets, assessing engagement risks and coaching staff on appropriate audit procedures and professional development
- Identify opportunities for efficiency, process improvement and enhanced audit quality by leveraging technology and artificial intelligence tools
- Drive effective client collaboration through frequent and direct communication, including onsite visits when appropriate, video calls and use of firm tools, while building trusted advisor relationships with key client stakeholders
- Develop detailed engagement work plans, including staffing strategies, risk-based audit approaches and timelines
- Demonstrate technical expertise through review and delivery of high quality workpapers and deliverables that comply with firm policies, accounting standards and auditing standards
- Prepare engagement budgets, manage profitability, monitor financial performance and participate in engagement scheduling
- Participate in proposals, business development initiatives, and client relationship expansion opportunities, including identifying additional services that may provide value to clients
- Actively participate in on-campus recruiting and interviewing
- Manage a team of staff and senior associates, including interns and global resources, while providing regular performance coaching, career development guidance and timely feedback
- Coordinate and oversee the work of offshore and shared-service delivery teams to drive efficient and effective engagement execution.
- Support the development and delivery of internal training programs, technical updates, and knowledge-sharing initiatives to strengthen team capabilities.
- Foster a culture of quality, collaboration, continuous improvement, and inclusion while supporting firm initiatives and strategic objectives
- Gain the respect and confidence of the CohnReznick team through effective client management, timely and accurate communication, and clear and concise direction and leadership
YOUR EXPERIENCE. The successful candidate will have:
- 5+ years of work experience in another public accounting firm
- Manufacturing & Distribution and/or Hospitality (specifically restaurants, franchisees and franchisors) experience required.
- Experience with technical accounting including but not limited to, revenue recognition, business combinations, impairment of intangible assets and goodwill, leases and share-based compensation
- Bachelor's Degree required
- CPA licensure required
- Strong experience using Microsoft Office Suite
- Knowledge of audit software such as ProSystem FX preferred
- Exceptional organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills

In
Maryland, the salary range for
Assurance Managers is $110,000 - $160,000. Salary determination will vary based on factors such as a candidate's geographical location, qualifications, experience, skills, and competencies.
