A day in the life.

A day in the life of a Business Process Specialist with our EH&B team involves managing and supporting critical back-end operational functions regionally to ensure smooth and efficient workflows. This includes daily oversight of outsourcing teams, where the specialist reroutes assigned tasks as needed, monitors utilization and capacity, and leads weekly meetings to keep teams aligned. They maintain and administer agency management systems and execute key finance-related operational processes, providing essential support to operations leaders. The role requires educating the field on outsourcing processes and acting as a subject matter expert for any operational questions that arise. Additionally, the specialist supports special operational initiatives and addresses any challenges from finance, systems, outsourcing, reporting, or technology perspectives. Success in this fast-paced environment demands strong attention to detail, the ability to work independently, problem-solve in unfamiliar situations, and consistently meet deadlines with impeccable follow-through.

We'd love to meet you if your professional track record includes these skills:

  • Minimum of 3 years previous insurance agency/brokerage experience in employee benefits required.
  • Strong presentation and interpersonal skills required.
  • Advanced knowledge of the agency operational procedures and the agency management system required. Effectively work in teams. Strong time management skills and the ability to handle multiple projects/priorities essential.
  • Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. on a permanent and ongoing basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

These additional qualifications are a plus, but not required to apply:
  • L&H license (or ability to obtain within 90 days) and/or equivalent job experience
  • Experience working with Applied Epic, BenefitPoint, Sagitta, Smartsheet, M365 a plus.
