Job Description

The Chief of Staff will be a strategic partner and force multiplier to the Chief Commercial Officer and Head of Global Business, helping to translate commercial strategy into clear narratives, operating rhythms, and executable initiatives across the firm. The role blends business analysis, process design, visual storytelling, and project leadership to drive alignment, transparency, and accountability in a complex, professional services environment.
This is not an executive assistant role. The Chief of Staff will operate as an internal consultant and business operator, shaping how the commercial organization plans, communicates, measures performance, and executes change.

Core ResponsibilitiesStrategy, Planning, and Operating Rhythm

  • Support the CCO in shaping, sequencing, and communicating commercial strategy, go-to-market priorities, and annual/quarterly plans.
  • Design and run the "rhythm of the business" for the commercial function (e.g., leadership meetings, quarterly reviews, strategic initiative check-ins, partner forums), including agendas, materials, and follow-through.
  • Prepare concise, insight-rich briefings and decision memos to enable effective executive decisions.
Visual Storytelling and Communication
  • Own the creation of high-quality, visually compelling presentations and communication artifacts for internal and partner audiences (e.g., strategy updates, Board materials, performance reviews, change announcements, initiative playbooks).
  • Translate complex ideas, data, and workstreams into simple, structured narratives that can be easily understood and acted upon by senior leaders and partners.
  • Ensure consistency of messaging and visuals across commercial communications.
Business and Revenue Analytics
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and executive summaries that provide clear, actionable insight into pipeline, revenue, pricing, utilization, and other commercial KPIs.
  • Partner with finance, sales operations, marketing, and practice leaders to analyze trends, identify risks/opportunities, and recommend actions.
  • Support business cases for new offerings, go-to-market programs, and investments with structured analysis and scenario thinking.
Go-to-Market and Commercial Solutions Support
  • Assist in designing and refining go-to-market strategies, including segment and buyer prioritization, value propositions, and sales motions.
  • Partner with commercial and practice leaders to codify offerings, playbooks, and enablement materials for internal and partner use.
  • Help ensure that commercial initiatives are grounded in data, aligned to strategy, and supported by clear execution plans.
Business Transformation and Process Redesign
  • Lead or support transformation initiatives focused on improving commercial and business operations (e.g., pipeline governance, forecasting, account planning, pricing processes, proposal workflows).
  • Map current-state processes, identify bottlenecks and failure points, and design future-state workflows, roles, and controls.
  • Track initiative progress, own project plans, and coordinate cross-functional stakeholders to drive implementation and adoption.
Business Transformation and Process Redesign
  • Lead or support transformation initiatives focused on improving commercial and business operations (e.g., pipeline governance, forecasting, account planning, pricing processes, proposal workflows).

Project Management and Execution
  • Serve as the CCO's point person for critical cross-functional projects, ensuring clarity of scope, owners, timelines, and success measures.
  • Drive follow-up and accountability on decisions and action items coming out of leadership meetings and strategic reviews.
  • Anticipate risks and interdependencies and proactively surface issues with recommended options and trade-offs.

Qualifications & Competencies
  • Requires 10+ years of experience in management consulting, strategy, operations, or a similar role in a professional services or advisory firm.
  • Prior experience supporting senior executives or leading cross-functional initiatives in a matrixed, growth-oriented environment.
  • Demonstrated exposure to commercial topics such as revenue analysis, pipeline management, pricing, sales effectiveness, or go-to-market strategy.

Knowledge & Skills
  • Exceptional visual communication and PowerPoint/slide design skills; able to turn unstructured content and data into crisp executive narratives and storylines.
  • Strong analytical and financial skills; comfortable working with revenue, margin, pipeline, and operational data to draw insights and recommend actions.
  • Proven ability to design and improve business processes, including mapping, documentation, and implementation of new workflows, governance, and tools.
  • Highly organized project manager who can juggle multiple workstreams, set priorities, and drive progress with limited oversight.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact confidently with senior leaders and partners
  • High degree of discretion, judgment, and professionalism in handling sensitive information and executive discussions.
  • Strong executive functioning skills: anticipates needs, structures ambiguity, and creates clarity for others.
  • Ability to influence and lead without formal authority, building trust-based relationships across functions and levels.
