Volt is immediately hiring for CNC Machinist in Everett, WA.

Shift: 2nd (3:30 PM to 12:30 AM)

As a CNC Machinist, you will:

• Responsible for setting up and running/operating multi-axis computer numerical control machines to perform various functions including but not limited to milling and lathing of metallic and non-metallic materials or work pieces.
• Set up and run Multi-axis CNC machines including but not limited to: Mills, Lathes
• Correctly read and interpret complex blueprints, planning sheets, sketches and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures, control settings, and machining methods and sequences
• Selects and installs cutting tools, mount fixtures and work pieces, and load programs required
• Calculate and set machine controls to position spindles in relationship to work piece
• Select and set cutting tools as well as cutting depths, speeds and feeds required to produce parts per drawing requirement
• Actively suggest ideas for process improvements and cost savings (improve time, reduce waste, etc.)
• Follow all environmental health and safety policies and procedures, models safe work practices
• Responsible for contributing to and supporting a positive and respectful workplace environment.

Duration: 5 Months

This is a full time, Contract to hire opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Two years' experience or the equivalent education as a CNC Machinist
• Demonstrated proficiency in setting up of machine in addition to basic operation.
• Experience in the Aerospace industry is a plus
• Working knowledge of shop math and geometric tolerance

Pay rate: $32- $35 Per hour.
