About this position: Coffee Shop Manager in Nome, AK

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily operations of the establishment, ensuring smooth and efficient service.
• Interview and hire new employees.
• Manage and train baristas.
• Maintain a clean and organized shop environment.
• Manage and create weekly schedules - balancing time off requests and availabilities.
• Place orders through various vendors to maintain inventory levels.
• Manage a team that completes all stocking, production, and additional tasks to ensure product quality, production planning, accuracy, and date sensitive rotation, as well as ensure all spoiled/damaged products are handled per established guidelines.
• Manage changes and additions to point of sale system.
• Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests in a professional and timely manner.
• Create, update, and maintain Drink Menu.
• Plan Marketing events and work with community.
• Assure that all safety and food safety guidelines and requirements are always followed and maintained
throughout the entire shop.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with the team to create a welcoming atmosphere for guests.
• Able to jump into Barista role as needed based on staffing needs.
• Daily cash reconciliation to include deposits
• Approval of time from Baristas
• Working with the Accounting Team for profit/loss of business.
• Perform additional tasks as needed to ensure the smooth operation of the establishment.
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications
• Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Level of Experience Requirements: 2-3 years retail, customer service, and management experience.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Food Managers Certification or ability to obtain certification (Required).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask.
