Support Recovery at a Critical Point as a Community Support Specialist - ERE
Join a mission-driven team supporting individuals in crisis through Missouri's Emergency Room Enhancement (ERE) program. As a Community Support Specialist, you'll be the connection point between emergency care and long-term recovery, helping individuals stabilize, access services, and re-engage in their communities.

Key Responsibilities - Assisting individuals in accessing mental health, medical, financial, and housing services
- Providing direct support for essential needs like food, shelter, and clothing during times of crisis
- Coaching and training in independent living skills such as budgeting, transportation, and self-care
- Helping individuals navigate community resources for long-term support and stability
- Following up on appointments and assisting with forms, documentation, and applications
- Providing transportation when needed to support access to care and services
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and Expertise• High School/GED required
• Associates or bachelor's degree in a human service related field preferred
QUALIFICATION(S): WORK EXPERIENCE/TRAINING/ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Must qualify for position based on overall CSS requirements in at least one of the options
listed:
o Qualified addiction professional;
o Bachelor's degree in a human services field from a college or university included in the U.S.
Department of Education's database of accredited schools at http:/ope.ed.gov/accreditation;
o Any four-year degree or combination of higher education and qualifying experience;
o Four years of qualifying experience; or
o Associate of Applied Science in Behavioral Health Support degree as designated by the Department of Mental Health.
• Qualifying experience must include delivery of service to individuals with mental illness,
substance use disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• A valid driver's license and agency established minimum automobile coverage required
