Position Overview:
The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by expanding HydroExcavators' customer base and strengthening relationships with new and existing clients. The majority of this role's work time is spent meeting with customers, identifying new opportunities, conducting site visits, preparing proposals, and promoting HydroExcavators' services. Additional responsibilities include market outreach, coordinating with operational teams, maintaining CRM documentation, and supporting strategic growth initiatives. Travel and in-person client engagement will be required.
Essential Functions:
• Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities across assigned regions and industries.
• Maintain and grow strong relationships with current customers, contractors, utilities, and industrial partners.
• Conduct on-site customer visits to assess needs, present capabilities, and support job walk-throughs when required.
• Prepare and deliver customer proposals, quotes, pricing packages, and service agreements.
• Professionally represent HydroExcavators at meetings, trade shows, industry events, and networking functions.
• Maintain accurate CRM records, customer interactions, sales pipelines, and forecasting reports.
• Collaborate closely with Operations, Safety, and Leadership teams to ensure customer expectations and project requirements are clearly communicated.
• Resolve customer concerns promptly and professionally, ensuring satisfaction and proper follow-through.
• Develop a strong understanding of HydroVac operations, equipment capabilities, and service offerings.
• Travel in-state and out-of-state as business needs require.
• Must be willing to work flexible hours based on customer and operational demands.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
Education
Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
