Support Healing in the Kitchen as a Cook's Assistant at Our Adult Psychiatric Hospital
Schedule: Wednesday-Saturday 8a-6p (with an hour lunch)
Looking to grow your skills in a role that makes a difference? As a Cook's Assistant, you'll help prepare nutritious meals that support the wellness and recovery of adults in our psychiatric hospital. More than just food prep, this role offers the opportunity to assist in life-skills development for clients, contribute to special events, and play a vital role in a clean, organized, and recovery-focused kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing and serving healthy, appealing meals to clients and staff
- Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and food prep areas
- Support group or individual client instruction in basic food skills or healthy eating habits
- Help document client participation in work therapy or skills training sessions
- Collaborate with the kitchen team on food ordering and inventory
- Prepare snacks and meals aligned with wellness and dietary goals
Requirements, Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseHigh School/GED required
WORK EXPERIENCE - Experience in food production preferred
- Ability to work within the facility as a team member and flexible to meet the needs of the facility and the clients we serve
