JOB DESCRIPTION
OVERVIEW:
Responsible for coordinating the daily transport activities for the assigned scope in a safe and efficient manner and the adoption of technological devices where necessary to aid in completing the responsibilities assigned. Ensure all customers' requirements are completed and meet their satisfaction level as per SLAs and KPIs. The Coordinator will collaborate closely with customers, carriers, and internal groups, ensuring compliance with logistics requirements are met in order to achieve high operations and customer service excellence.
This role may require extended availability to take emergency calls on some evenings, nights, and weekends.

Operations
- Execute day-to-day operational activities according to requirements and KPI to obtain high customer satisfaction
- Review shipments to determine appropriate transportation mode to meet the customers shipping and delivery requirements, select the most cost effective and service reliable carrier
- Timely and accurate entry of events troubleshooting any issue that arises
- Complete daily logs and trackers
- Provide out of office availability to assist emergency calls on some evenings, nights, and weekend.
Customer Service
- Coordinates with carriers to ensure on-time delivery by tracking trucks for pick-up, estimating times of arrival and delivery, and recovering loads when necessary
- Respond to customer inquiries with detailed updates by email and phone
QUALIFICATIONS EXPERIENCEGeneral Experience
- Sound experience and understanding of straightforward procedures or systems (Preferred 2 years)
- Preferred experience in the transportation industry with a background in dispatch or customer service
The typical starting salary range for this position is: $50,000 - $55,000.
The actual salary offer will take into account multiple factors including skills, experience, education and location. Please note that the salary details listed in role postings reflect the base salary only, not total compensation, which includes bonus and benefits.

Work Location Requirement - APL Logistics:Employees residing within 25 miles of an APL Logistics Hub Office (AZ, FL, MI, NC, OR) are required to follow a designated Hybrid schedule as described below: Fully on-site, or fully remote schedules are determined based on role and business needs.
• Hybrid employees must report to the office 8 days per month, scheduled by their supervisor.
• Warehouse roles are typically fully on-site.
• Candidates outside the 25-mile radius may be considered for fully remote roles, depending on business needs.
Remote work requires full compliance with company policies, including workspace standards, timekeeping, and communication protocols. Commuting costs are not reimbursed. Adherence to this policy is a condition of employment.
