CPP Coordinator (63584)
Adams and Associates

Brunswick, Georgia

Description

Set Students Up for Success from Day One.

The first weeks of a student's Job Corps journey shape everything that follows and you'll be there to guide them. As a CPP Coordinator, you'll deliver Career Preparation instruction and support, help students build individualized career plans, and monitor their progress to ensure strong early retention and a confident start in the program.

This is a role for a natural teacher and mentor: someone who welcomes new students, builds trust quickly, and knows that a strong beginning is often the difference between a student who struggles and one who thrives.

Why Join Us? Make a Real Impact!

Job Corps is a transformative program that provides education, vocational training, and career readiness to young adults. In this role, you're at the very start of the student journey - setting expectations, building momentum, and creating the supportive foundation that carries students all the way to completion. You may also serve as Acting CPP Supervisor in the Supervisor's absence.

What You'll Do

Deliver Career Preparation Instruction

Conduct effective classroom and/or online instruction, evaluating student attendance, participation, and performance. Provide remedial support and guidance so students successfully complete the MyPACE program and CPP requirements, and evaluate and assess students' readiness to transition to the Career Development Period (CDP).

Guide Individualized Career Planning

Work with students to develop individualized career plans and provide comprehensive case and career management that ensures progress, retention, and completion of the program. Establish supportive, mentoring relationships throughout enrollment, provide personal and career counseling, and routinely document student performance and engagement in the CIS case management system.

Coordinate Student Arrival & Onboarding

Coordinate pre-arrival activities for a smooth transition to Center life including pre-arrival phone calls, transportation, folder review, and needs assessments. Coordinate new-student processes such as introductions to Center staff, Center tours, CPP welcome, and 30-day celebrations, and keep CPP classes and areas organized, clean, safe, and conducive to success.

Uphold Standards & Collaborate

Follow all integrity guidelines and ensure no manipulation of student data, helping the Center meet or exceed DOL/Company performance goals. Provide high-quality supervision that positively influences student behavior, mentor and model the Career Success Standards, communicate clearly, resolve problems with sound judgment, partner across all departments, and accept direction from the Center Director, Duty Officer, or Shift Manager including other duties as assigned.
