Custodial Floor Technician

Job Description
SUMMARY:
Performs various floor care maintenance functions in accordance with all University policies, procedures and guidelines; exemplifies and upholds the Facilities Department's mission, which is to create and maintain an outstanding learning environment through constant attention to our community's needs and thoughtful care of our beautiful campus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Highly thorough and dependable
• Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills
• Demonstrated ability to comply to safety standards and perform work using safe work habits
• Proficient in the use of custodial equipment with knowledge of all aspects of relating to good cleaning practices and chemical and equipment use care
• Must have a valid driver's license and meet the University standards

• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• 2- 4 years custodial operation or related field preferred
• Less than 2 years of professional experience in floor care preferred

• Full-time; non-exempt
• Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:30PM, flexibility required
• All facilities employees are designated as essential personnel and are subject to work outside the normal work schedule on an emergency basis and are subject to planned overtime work as required by the immediate supervisor.
