Overview:
We're looking for a highly skilled Data Engineer to power the digital backbone of our steel manufacturing ecosystem. In this role, you'll architect and elevate the data infrastructure that fuels advanced analytics, automation, and real-time decision intelligence across our operations.
You will collaborate closely with data scientists, process engineers, and IT teams to ensure that high quality, trustworthy data flows seamlessly through every stage of the manufacturing lifecycle enabling smarter, safer, and more efficient production.
What You'll Do:
- Build and optimize scalable data pipelines (real time, IoT, sensors, MES, ERP)
- Design seamless ETL/ELT workflows and integrate data across cloud & on prem systems
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, and data science teams to create powerful insights
- Support production systems, troubleshoot infra issues, and elevate data reliability
- Mentor team members and champion best practices in data engineering
- Ensure robust, secure, and well governed data infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer
- Expertise in Python, Pandas, PySpark, Airflow, Kedro
- Strong SQL/KQL skills (Oracle, MSSQL, MySQL)
- Experience with REST APIs (Flask, FastAPI)
- Linux scripting + DevOps mindset (Git, Docker, CI/CD, IaaC)
- Hands?on with OCI, Azure, GCP + big data tools (Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, Databricks)
- Familiarity with industrial data (MES, PLCs, OSIsoft PI)
- Strong troubleshooting and automation skills
- Real Time streaming Kafka, Event Hub, EMQX)
- Reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, OAC)
- Data governance, profiling, and lineage tools
- Cross cloud data sharing and integration

PAY RANGE AND BENEFITS:
Pay Range*: $65.00 - $70.95 per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
