What You'll Do

• Lead the design, development, and operation of enterprise-scale data platforms, including modern lakehouse and cloud-native architectures
• Establish and execute the long-term vision and roadmap for data engineering across the organization
• Build shared frameworks, standards, and best practices to enable consistent, high-quality data delivery
• Champion DataOps and CI/CD principles, automating deployment, testing, and monitoring to improve reliability and speed
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship across areas such as PySpark, SQL, dbt, ELT/ETL tooling, and cloud services
• Partner closely with architecture, analytics, and application teams to deliver end-to-end data solutions
• Design highly scalable, efficient data infrastructure to support growing data volumes and business demands
• Own delivery timelines and outcomes, ensuring initiatives are completed on time and within budget
• Lead and develop a team of data engineers and technical leads, fostering a culture of quality, ownership, and continuous improvement
• Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and modern data architecture patterns

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• 10+ years of experience in data engineering and technology leadership roles
• Strong experience leading teams and setting technical direction in enterprise environments
• Deep expertise with cloud-based data ecosystems (GCP, AWS, and/or Azure)
• Hands-on experience with modern data platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery
• Advanced proficiency in Python / PySpark, SQL, and modern ELT/ETL tools (e.g., dbt, Fivetran)
• Strong understanding of data architecture, data integration patterns, and enterprise data strategy
• Proven ability to build or modernize a lakehouse or next-generation data platform from the ground up
• Strong communication skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions
