Job Summary:


This role is responsible for the general operations for Patient Relations across the Enterprise. Provides strategic direction to improve and maintain good relationships with patients and families. Consults with senior leadership, mentors' leaders, physicians and staff at all levels in best practices for patient and family interactions. To achieve exceptional outcomes, the individual leverages their subject matter expertise and deep understanding of evidence-based and industry best practices in patient relations. Oversees compliance of CMS and other regulatory complaint and grievance standards. Identify opportunities for improvement across the enterprise based on patient feedback through the patient relations process.

EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION:

A minimum of three years of supervisory, management and/or informal leadership experience. A minimum of 3 years of patient/customer services and/or complaint resolution experience. Inpatient experience preferred.

EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:

Bachelor's Degree in Health Management, Health Care Administration, Business, Nursing or the allied health field is required. Master's Degree Health Care Management, Health Care Administration, Business, Nursing or the allied health field preferred.

TRAINING DESCRIPTION:

Knowledge and experience with a wide variety of computer programs including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook. EPIC experience preferred.

SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION:

• Interpersonal skills necessary to interface effectively with customers and staff from the front line through Senior Managers.

• Strong analytical skills, ability to interpret data, develop solutions.

• Strong oral and written communication skills

• Ability to prioritize concentration, and pay close attention to details.• Demonstrated appreciation of diversity and affinity for interacting with people of varying backgrounds and perspectives. • Ability to translate medical terminology into layman's terms, preferred.
