Overview

Are you a dynamic, results-driven sales and marketing leader with a passion for luxury hospitality? We are seeking an experienced Director of Sales & Marketing to lead commercial strategy and drive top-line revenue for a luxury property in the Greater Los Angeles area.

This is not a typical DOSM role-it is a rare opportunity to shape a hotel's commercial success story from the ground up. Currently undergoing a complete renovation, this property is being repositioned to deliver a sophisticated, high-impact guest experience in one of the country's most competitive and influential markets.

As the Director of Sales & Marketing, you will have direct responsibility for topline and commercial revenue, overseeing both sales and marketing functions. You will develop and execute innovative strategies to maximize revenue, grow market share, and elevate brand presence. Your leadership will be instrumental in building and mentoring a high-performing sales team that reflects the energy, creativity, and sophistication of the Los Angeles market.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of progressive hotel sales experience
  • Minimum 2 years of hotel sales leadership experience or equivalent
  • Prior luxury hotel or independent hotel experience preferred
  • Strong awareness of the West Coast, Los Angeles, and Beverly Hills market and customer base
  • Proven ability to develop and execute strategic Sales & Marketing plans to drive revenue growth
  • Established relationships within the agency and luxury travel community
  • Strong negotiation and contract interpretation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with major hospitality sales CRM systems
  • Professional presence with strong leadership and presentation skills
