About the Role:
We are seeking a dynamic Director-level Integration Lead to join our Program Management Operations (PMO) team. Reporting to the Executive Director, Portfolio Strategy & PMO, this role is critical in supporting due diligence efforts from a drug development Program Management perspective and ensuring successful integration of in-licensed assets and acquired companies into the Insmed portfolio. This role offers an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal part in Insmed's growth strategy and contribute to bringing innovative therapies to patients with serious diseases.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you will actively participate in due diligence activities for potential in-licensing opportunities and acquisitions from a drug development program management perspective.
You will also:
- Provide strategic oversight and guidance on drug development programs during diligence and integration phases.
- Pressure test the proposed R&D plans, timelines, scenarios, resource needs, and budgets.
- Support the development and execution of integration plans for successfully acquired assets and companies into Insmed's portfolio.
- Establish integration timelines, milestones, and success metrics.
- Manage cross-functional integration teams and coordinate activities with Business Development, Program Management, Commercial, Regulatory Affairs, Medical Affairs, Technical Operations, Clinical Development, Clinical Operations, and Finance.
- Identify and mitigate integration risks and challenges.
- Ensure seamless transition of clinical programs and operational processes.
- Support portfolio strategy initiatives and provide program management expertise.
Who You Are:You have a minimum of 10 years of Project/Program/Alliance Management experience with proven management and/or leadership experience in pharmaceutical/biotechnology industry R&D, manufacturing/operations or commercial context required.
You are or have:
- Advanced degree in life sciences, business, or related field preferred.
- Strong understanding of drug development processes and regulatory requirements.
- Experience working with cross-functional teams in drug development environments.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority in a matrix environment, motivate with enthusiasm, and develop productive working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Entrepreneurial self-starter with a proven track record of success in fast-paced and demanding environment and strong desire to "make things happen", including a results-oriented work ethic and a positive, can-do attitude.
- Must be a seasoned pharmaceutical/biotechnology program/project manager with deep experience in leading drugs from development into commercialization.
- An ability to take a hands-on, "roll up your sleeves" approach toward achieving business results.
- Ability to quickly gain credibility and confidence with all levels within the company.
- Well-developed computer skills ( e.g. , Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams/SharePoint, timeline-making tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet or similar).
Preferred (but not required):
- Scientific background in life sciences or related field.
- Experience in respiratory diseases, immunology & inflammation, neurology/neuroscience, and/or rare diseases.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification a plus but not required.
- Previous experience with M&A integration or in-licensing activities.
Travel Requirements This role requires domestic/international travel of approximately 25% based on business needs.
Where You'll Work This is a fully remote role. It can be performed effectively from anywhere while staying connected to your Insmed team and community. Occasional travel for team meetings or events may be expected.
