The Electrician, Licensed performs building maintenance and repair work, and responds to the corrective needs of electrical equipment, and system components.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
- Test emergency generators, and conditioning and heating systems.
- Maintains and repairs circulator and sump pumps, refrigeration units, fans, and other electrical equipment.
- Installs lighting fixtures and other electrical apparatus.
- Test circuits for continuity and overloading.
- Conducts fire alarm tests and participates in the movement and installation of machinery and equipment.
- Evaluates equipment performance using instruments, such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, pyrometers, and pressure gauges.
- Works from ladders, scaffolds, and roofs to install, maintain or repair electrical wiring and equipment.
- Maintains records, prepares reports, and orders supplies and equipment.
- Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets.

Experience:Minimum 5 years of relevant experience required
Certification and Licensing:Valid license from Miami Dade County | Valid State of Florida Driver's License required
