An established enterprise organization is seeking an IT Application Support Manager to lead day-to-day support and configuration efforts for a core business application platform supporting lending operations. This role manages an application support function, drives issue resolution and root-cause analysis, partners with technical teams on enhancements, and ensures changes/releases align with operational and compliance needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team responsible for application support, end-user assistance, and maintaining accurate support documentation.
- Serve as an escalation point for complex issues; coordinate troubleshooting across business and technical stakeholders.
- Gather requirements, document functional needs, and partner with architects/engineers to align on solution designs and approvals.
- Own operational workflows and monitoring routines to proactively identify recurring issues and trends.
- Support platform administration and configuration, including environment setup, business rules, validation rules, dashboards/analytics, and reporting (including SQL-based reporting as needed).
- Drive root cause analysis for production incidents and implement preventative fixes.
- Coordinate and manage testing across environments (development, QA, UAT, production) to ensure stable releases.
- Track and manage releases, patches, change requests, and customizations-especially where regulatory/compliance timelines apply.
- Act as a procedural expert for support policies, standards, and internal delivery processes; ensure team adherence to required governance.
- Provide regular status updates to senior IT and business leadership regarding support health, risks, priorities, and team throughput.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in a related field.
- 4+ years of relevant experience in application support / IT operations / application administration.
- Prior people leadership experience (team lead, supervisor, or manager).
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Experience - Hands-on experience with Empower (Dark Matter) configuration/support.
- Exposure to migrations from self-hosted to hosted/SaaS Empower environments.
- Familiarity with Agile delivery practices.
- Experience supporting legal/compliance document generation integrations used in mortgage lending (vendor tools used for compliant documents).
- Strong understanding of mortgage and home equity lending processes and terminology.
Publishing Pay Range: $70.00 - $78.00 Hourly
This position is based in office and requires employee to work on-site.
