Job Overview: This engineering co-op position provides exposure to a variety of tasks related to engineering, quality assurance and projects. This position is for the 2026 summer term.
Objectives: The primary objective of this role is to provide the candidate with hands-on engineering experience in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will work directly with product, manufacturing and plant engineers in individual and team settings contributing to department and company goals.
Responsibilities:
• Assist with manufacturing and product engineering projects
• Create 3D models and operate 3D FDM printer as required
• Prepare CAD drawings as required
• Prepare SOPs and WIs as required
• Build fixtures and assemblies as required
• Convert documentation to new digital format
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Enrollment in an accredited four-year university, in good academic standing, majoring in mechanical, manufacturing, automation or similar engineering discipline.
• Completed at least 2 semesters of relevant engineering coursework.
• Familiarity with Autodesk 2D/3D CAD or similar software.
• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize work, and adapt to changing conditions.
