Meet the team:

Join our R&D Engineering Test Team supporting the development of next-generation Continuous Glucose Monitoring (CGM) systems. Our team partners closely with R&D engineers to enable accurate and consistent testing across early development and design verification. We work hands-on in the lab, support a wide range of test setups and equipment, and value disciplined execution, safety, and clear documentation. This role works closely with engineers and senior technicians to support evolving testing needs.

About this position

Engineering Technician 2 is an entry-to-intermediate technical contributor within the R&D Engineering Test Team, supporting hands-on test execution under defined direction. The role focuses on accurate test setup, execution of assigned tasks, disciplined data recording, and adaptability to changing test conditions. Engineering Technician 2s contribute to development and characterization testing by executing defined work, supporting evolving test setups, and partnering closely with engineers and senior technicians.

Where you come in

  • You will set up, configure, and support execution of test and measurement activities across feasibility, development, characterization, and DVT phases under defined direction.
  • You will execute experimental testing, engineering experiments, and characterization work accurately and consistently in development environments with changing setups and requirements.
  • You will perform hands-on execution tasks such as sample preparation, consumable handling, test cycling, and equipment setup and breakdown.
  • You will operate laboratory and test equipment following written procedures, engineering direction, or defined run plans.
  • You will execute testing and documentation activities in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and site safety requirements.
  • You will accurately document, organize, and summarize test data using approved templates, systems, and software tools, including Microsoft Excel for basic analysis and reporting.
  • You will escalate anomalies, uncertainties, or deviations promptly to engineers or senior technicians rather than proceeding independently.
  • You will support fixture and equipment setup, handling, and basic troubleshooting under guidance.
  • You will assist with lab operations activities, including equipment readiness, inventory support, audits, environmental monitoring, and safety compliance.
  • You will maintain lab organization, cleanliness, and 6S standards to support safe and efficient testing.
  • You have the ability to support required schedule flexibility based on testing needs, including early morning starts, late evening coverage, split or staggered shifts, and extended hours when necessary to ensure test continuity, data integrity, or issue resolution.

What makes you successful:
  • You have an associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands-on laboratory experience.
  • You have experience working in a laboratory, testing, or technical execution environment.
  • You have the ability to accurately interpret and follow written test methods, protocols, and procedures.
  • You have comfort operating common laboratory and test equipment under supervision.
  • You have strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate, compliant data recording.
  • You have an understanding of and willingness to comply with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) and safety requirements.
  • You have proficiency with common productivity tools such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • You have strong organizational skills, reliability in task execution, and ability to manage assigned work efficiently.
  • You have effective written and verbal communication skills and willingness to ask questions and escalate when unclear.
  • You have experience supporting regulated product development or audit environments is a plus.
  • You have relevant technical certifications such as Certified Quality Technician (CQT), Certified You have Test Technician (CTT), ISO 17025 fundamentals, or Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) are preferred and demonstrate strong documentation discipline and compliance mindset.

Experience and Education Requirements:

Typically requires a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2-5 years of related experience.
