We are hiring an Engineering Technician to support the design, testing, troubleshooting, modification, fabrication, assembly, and maintenance of electromechanical systems, electronic devices, experimental circuitry, laser/light transmission devices, and specialized test equipment. This role supports engineering laboratory activities including equipment calibration and alignment, prototype fabrication, system diagnostics, experimental testing, tooling and fixture construction, data collection, and process improvement.

Responsibilities:

• Build, test, troubleshoot, repair, and modify electronic and electromechanical devices, assemblies, subsystems, and systems.
• Construct, calibrate, adjust, diagnose, test, and maintain equipment, components, devices, and systems.
• Perform calibration and alignment checks on applicable equipment and systems.
• Support the design, fabrication, assembly, modification, and checkout of prototype electromechanical systems and specialized test equipment.
• Construct, modify, debug, test, and adjust tools and equipment using engineering drawings, parts, specifications, and instructions.
• Prepare prescribed compounds and solutions in support of laboratory and engineering activities.
• Conduct and document experiments under the guidance of senior technicians.
• Fabricate basic hardware, tooling, and fixtures required to support specialized engineering and laboratory tasks.
• Organize and analyze test and experimental data to identify cause-and-effect relationships and support troubleshooting.
• Recommend practical solutions for technical issues and process improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives, including identifying appropriate opportunities to apply AI-enabled tools and methods.

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• Associate's degree in a related technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
• Minimum of 1 year of relevant engineering technician, electronics, electromechanical, laboratory, or related technical experience.
• Fundamental knowledge of and proficiency with related engineering tools, test equipment, and technical equipment.
• Ability to fabricate simple hardware as required.
• Working knowledge of computers and test equipment.
• Ability to read and follow drawings, technical instructions, and procedures.

• First Class FCC License, if required for the assignment.
• Solder Repair certification, if required for the assignment.
