Job Summary

Responsible for assisting departmental manager in responding to customer service and warranty issues, scheduling field service work and personnel, ordering materials & maintaining field service stock, maintain records, and completing quotes.

Essential Duties

  • Respond to customer service issues by the customer.
  • Assist departmental manager with scheduling and directing field service technicians and contractors in response to service and warranty issues including written field instructions and statements of work.
  • Order and ship materials for field, warranty work and small part orders.
  • Maintain field service stock items and tools/equipment.
  • Maintain individual job records, materials list, statistical reports, and various monthly reports.
  • Maintain spreadsheets for all field service & warranty jobs.
  • Review Engineering drawings, control prints and materials list for field assembly and upgrade work.
  • Perform other tasks as required by manager in order to complete all assigned field or customer service issues.
  • Assist with FS trucks/trailers management - This may include taking trucks or trailers to the repair shops if needed. Keep track of registrations, insurance, WEX cards, etc. are in the appropriate trucks.
  • Keep track of safety requirements and equipment.

Qualifications
  • High school diploma or Equivalent (GED).
  • Combination of five (5) to ten (10) years of experience in construction and/or electrical work.
  • Able to operate a computer and associated software to include MS Outlook Word and Excel.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints.
  • Knowledge of basic math skills.
  • Ability to solve problems in a variety of situations with limited standardization. Excellent communication skills to effectively present information to customers.
  • Working knowledge of electrical wiring standards
  • Working knowledge of the Nation Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Working knowledge of general construction practices
  • Ability to coordinate multiple projects at the same time.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with Field Service Techs and our customers verbally or in writing.
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions given verbally, written, or by reading drawings
