This internship supports the Finance function's broader transformation agenda, equipping future finance professionals with hands-on exposure to AI-enabled processes, governance, and decision-making.
The Finance Transformation Intern will support the design, assessment, and enablement of AI use cases across Finance, with a strong emphasis on practical, value driven AI adoption.
The intern will work alongside the Finance Transformation Team and cross-functional departments to:
• AI Project:
o Identify, research and structure finance AI use cases,
o Support AI reporting, maturity tracking, and learning enablement, and
• E-Invoicing Project:
o Contribute to E-Invoicing RFQ activities where relevant to the program phase.
This role is ideal for a candidate with strong analytical curiosity, interest in AI, and a desire to understand how Finance, Data, and Technology intersect in real enterprises.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITES:
1. AI Use Case Identification & Analysis (Primary Focus)
• Support the intake, documentation, and structuring of Finance AI use cases using established frameworks.
• Assist with applying AI technique selection based on:
o Data type (structured vs unstructured)
o Business objective
o Control and compliance considerations
• Help break down end-to-end finance processes (e.g. AP, AR, FP&A) into Composite AI building blocks.
• Assist in evaluating use cases against:
o AI maturity phase (Experiment, Stabilize, Expand)
o Data readiness and feasibility
o Value potential (time saved, cost avoided, insight enabled)
2. AI Portfolio Reporting & Insights
• Assist in maintaining AI use case trackers and prioritization matrices.
• Help translate technical AI concepts into clear, finance friendly summaries for leadership audiences.
3. Learning Enablement (Articulate / Digital Learning)
• Support the development of learning and enablement materials for Finance teams.
• Gain exposure to learning platforms such as Articulate (Rise/Storyline) and AI-supported content creation tools.
• Help design intuitive, scenario-based learning examples rooted in real Finance use cases.
4. E-Invoicing RFQ & Finance Transformation Support (Secondary)
Depending on program timing and project status:
• Support analysis of E-Invoicing vendor RFQ inputs.
• Help structure comparison summaries and evaluation criteria.
• Assist with documenting process flows, assumptions, and impacts.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Essential
• Currently studying or recently completed a degree in:
o Finance, Accounting, Economics
o Business Analytics, Data Science, Information Systems
• Strong interest in AI, analytics, and digital transformation.
• Comfortable working with structured information, frameworks, and templates.
• Clear written communication skills.
Desirable
• Exposure to AI concepts (coursework, certifications, self-learning)
• Familiarity with tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, or similar
• Interest in learning platforms (Articulate, LMS, digital content)
• Curiosity about how technology impacts Finance processes and controls
