Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Financial Planning & Cost Management: Develop comprehensive fiscal year projections for cloud expenditures, monitor budget utilization through burndown charts, and provide strategic insights to optimize cloud spending.

Architectural Cost Analysis: Participate in cloud architecture reviews, offering financial perspectives to ensure resource allocation aligns with budget and business objectives, while preparing accurate cost estimates.

Financial Reporting & Transparency: Create detailed monthly reports analyzing cloud expenditure, usage trends, and leveraging data visualization tools to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.

Chargeback & Cost Allocation Models: Design and implement transparent chargeback frameworks that accurately allocate cloud expenses to respective business units, fostering accountability.

Cost Optimization Initiatives: Identify and recommend opportunities for cost savings, collaborating with engineering and IT teams to implement fiscally responsible solutions.

Financial Analytics & Insights: Conduct in-depth analysis of spending patterns, trends, and forecast future needs, providing actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Policy Compliance: Work closely with finance, IT, and engineering teams to align cloud financial strategies, ensuring compliance with industry standards and internal policies.

Tool Utilization & Data Analysis: Leverage cloud cost management tools (such as AWS Cost Explorer, Azure Cost Management, Google Cloud Billing) along with Excel and data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI) to monitor and report on cloud expenses.
Qualifications & Experience: - Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in financial or business analysis, with at least 3 years specialized in cloud cost management.
- Proven expertise in preparing cloud resource cost estimates, participating in architectural reviews, and creating chargeback models.
- Strong understanding of cloud architectures, application design, and networking principles.
- Advanced Excel proficiency, including financial modeling and complex formula creation; experience with VBA or scripting a plus.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and pricing models.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
- Excellent analytical, verbal, and written communication skills, capable of presenting complex data clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Successful cross-functional collaboration skills.

Publishing Pay Range: $60.00 - $65.00 hourly
