We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our team. This role is ideal for recent graduates or early-career professionals interested in geology, environmental science, and fieldwork. The successful candidate will support geological investigations, collect and analyze data, and assist in the preparation of technical reports for a variety of projects.

This position will report to our office location in Omaha, NE.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with field investigations, including soil, rock, and groundwater sampling
- Conduct site assessments and support geological and environmental studies
- Log soil borings and rock cores under supervision
- Analyze geological data and assist with interpretation of subsurface conditions
- Support preparation of technical reports, maps, and documentation
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and environmental regulations
- Assist with monitoring well installation and groundwater sampling
- Maintain accurate field notes and project records
- Collaborate with engineers, scientists, and project managers
Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Geology, Hydrogeology, Environmental Science, or a related field
- Basic understanding of geological principles and field methods
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with GIS or geological software is a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver's license
- Willingness to travel for fieldwork (30% to 60% depending on project), including on temporary assignments
- Ability to work on Department of War and other government installations
Preferred Qualifications: - Internship or field experience in geology or environmental consulting
- Familiarity with soil and groundwater sampling techniques
- Knowledge of environmental regulations and site assessment processes
- Experience with data analysis or mapping software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD)
Additional Qualifying Factors: As a condition of employment, you may be required to pass a pre-employment drug screening (post accepted offer) and have acceptable background check results. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations.
