GIS Specialist I

The GIS Specialist I works under the direction of the GIS Manager and project managers across the company to create a wide variety of maps and geospatial data products. A successful candidate will thrive on constant learning and problem solving in a faced paced consulting environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create professional maps using ArcGIS Pro for reports and proposals.
  
• Work closely with scientists and engineers to integrate GIS processes into existing workflows.
  
• Compile, clean, and organize datasets from internal sources, public agencies, and field collection apps.
  
• Assist with GPS data processing and map preparation for field crews.
  

Minimum Experience and Education:

• BS or BA in Geography, GIS, or related field and 0-2 years of direct experience.
  
• Associate's degree will be considered with additional experience.
  

Required Skills:

• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams, work on multiple projects concurrently, and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  
• High attention to detail.
  
• Highly skilled with Esri GIS software, including ArcGIS Pro, and ArcGIS Online.
  
• Proficient user of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  
• Working knowledge of coordinate systems, cartographic principles, and GIS data management.
  

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience with high-accuracy GNSS systems and working knowledge of GNSS principles.
  
• Strong ArcGIS Online knowledge, including Experience Builder, Field Maps, and Arcade scripting.
  
• Experience working with CAD files in a GIS environment, including DWG and DGN files.
  
• Prior experience in environmental consulting or geotechnical engineering.
  

Licensing or Certification requirements:

Valid driver's license and pass MVR as required.

Compensation Range:
$55,000.00 - $82,000.00
