Title: Global Reliability Fixed Equipment Leader
Location: Houston, TX

Schedule: Hybrid schedule available of up to 2 days remote per week

Focus: The Global Reliability Fixed Equipment Leader is responsible for overseeing and improving reliability and maintenance performance of fixed equipment, piping, and package equipment across the enterprise. This role provides expertise in building mechanical integrity programs and practices, engineering and fabrication techniques, standards, consultation, training, and leadership, ensuring the safety, efficiency, and longevity of our assets while driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Global Reliability Fixed Equipment Leader Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead the company's fixed equipment/piping inspection program, including inspection database (PCMS), deficiency tracking/trending/reporting, recommendation resolution, best practice sharing, etc.
  • Own the fixed equipment and piping mechanical integrity policy and program, evolving the directives and measures to continually drive asset reliability.
  • Work across the fixed equipment network to provide technical support and direction necessary to maintain safe and reliable operation of the piping, tanks, vessels, heat exchangers, and other fixed equipment.
  • Provide technical troubleshooting support for complex or difficult plant issues and at times, participate in RCI's (Root Cause Investigations), plant technical reviews, and audits.
  • Participate in capital and expense project design reviews and provide technical guidance on engineering and piping engineering standards application, selection of appropriate materials of construction, fabrication and installation methods, etc.
  • Create, train, and reinforce mechanical maintenance procedures based on best practice and engineering standard guidance. Additionally, train and mentor individuals in these and other various reliability fundamentals that provide positive impact to the life cycle cost of assets.
  • Partner with Olin's Technical Center, leading standardizing efforts for the fixed equipment and piping discipline related practices, most effective technology, and engineering tools.
  • Partner with Corporate Procurement to optimize costs and ensure targeted manufacturers/fabricators meet technical specifications. Provide continued support to address quality and reliability issues by leading quality surveillance, driving quality of fabrication adherence.

Global Reliability Fixed Equipment Leader Requirements:
  • Must meet one of the following education and experience requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree* in engineering with a minimum of 15 years of reliability engineering or maintenance experience within chemical manufacturing or a related industry, with at least 7 years of on-site chemical plant or refinery support.
    • High School Diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 20 years of progressive experience and demonstrated technical and program leadership expertise in a focus area of manufacturing assets.
  • Experience in completing and reviewing new equipment ASME/API calculations, ASME "fitness for duty/service" calculations, and ASME piping pressure calculations.
  • Familiarity with transfer/transport pipelines, codes, inspection techniques, and service calculations.
  • Demonstrated success in implementing fixed equipment mechanical integrity and reliability programs, achieving measurable improvements in operational performance.
  • Proficiency in reliability fundamentals such as PM/PdM, RCA, FMEA, SIC, Maintenance Work Process, and effective mechanical integrity systems that support asset life cycle management.
  • Technical knowledge of the various types of fixed equipment (i.e., tanks, vessels, towers, exchangers) in a chemical manufacturing site.
  • Knowledge of other manufacturing package systems such as process refrigeration, steam boilers, and water filtration/purification in a chemical manufacturing site.
  • Ability to work independently on complex projects. Strong leadership, teamwork, conflict resolution, and interpersonal skills required.
  • Experience with industry reliability software and tools (e.g., Prometheus APM, Apollo RCFA, reliability modeling). Proficiency with SAP PM module.
  • Proficiency with Power BI or other similar business intelligence tools.
  • Must be willing and able to travel up to 20%.
  • Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
