Brief Job Description:
The Global SIOP Process & Operations Leader is the strategic orchestrator and governance authority driving global end-to-end SIOP cycle. Moving decisively beyond process design, this high-impact role functions as the central global conductor, seamlessly synchronizing regional demand scenarios with global manufacturing capacity and procurement strategies to protect revenue and maximize asset utilization.
Technical & Functional Skills
- Deep expertise in demand planning, supply planning, inventory optimization, and capacity planning
- Strong knowledge of SIOP/S&OP/IBP frameworks and best practices
- Proficiency with planning tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP APO/IBP, Oracle, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions)
- Advanced analytical skills with experience leveraging data visualization and BI tools
- Understanding of financial planning integration (P&L impact, revenue forecasting, working capital)
Leadership & Strategic Competencies - Ability to influence and align senior executives (C-suite) around a consensus operating plan
- Experience leading and developing globally distributed teams
- Strong change management skills - ability to drive process adoption across diverse cultures and regions
- Strategic thinking with the ability to translate business strategy into operational plans
- Executive-level communication and presentation skills
Core Responsibilities Alignment - Experience balancing demand, supply, inventory, and financial targets in a global context
- Proven ability to improve forecast accuracy, reduce inventory, and enhance service levels simultaneously
- Track record of establishing KPIs, governance structures, and escalation frameworks for SIOP
- Experience managing scenario planning and risk mitigation in volatile environments
Preferred Qualifications - Experience in critical infrastructure, data center, power management, or similar industries
- Global experience working across Americas, EMEA, and APAC regions
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies (Green/Black Belt a plus)
- Experience integrating new product introductions (NPI) into the SIOP process
Education: - Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, Engineering, or related field (required)
- Master's degree (MBA or MS in Supply Chain/Operations) preferred
- APICS/ASCM certifications (CPIM, CSCP, or CLTD) strongly preferred
Experience -
15+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, operations planning, or demand/supply planning

5+ years in a senior leadership role managing global SIOP/S&OP processes
- Proven track record of leading cross-functional planning processes across multiple regions and business units
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment (relevant to Vertiv's industry)
- Demonstrated success in transforming or maturing S&OP/SIOP processes from tactical to strategic
