GMS specializes in facility operations and maintenance (O&M) to include maintenance, repair, and alteration of facility structures; O&M of water, wastewater, and heating plants; maintenance of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, intrusion detection, telephone, and cable systems; roads and grounds maintenance to include snow removal; janitorial; pest control; airfield maintenance and management; pier maintenance; warehouse and supply services; and hazardous materials management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides guidance to laborers, schedules and evaluates daily work performed.
- Interacts well with customers and fellow employees to create a good working environment.
- Trains employees on equipment as necessary.
- Performs a wide variety of tasks, but not limited to mowing, policing, trimming, equipment sign-out sheets, vehicle dispatches, 2404 forms and key logs.
- Operates vehicles and equipment safely and properly to comply with all legal and contractual requirements.
- Performs operator maintenance and safety checks on all vehicles and equipment used.
- Coordinates projects with and provides daily updates to the Site Supervisor.
- Participation in functional specific training that promotes a safe work environment.
Required (Minimum Necessary) Qualifications •
Education Requirements: High School Diploma or GED equivalent

Level of Experience Requirements: Five (5) years experience in grounds maintenance.
- Must possess a valid Driver's License. Ability to obtain a HDSS vehicle operations license within sixty (60) days of hire
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics - Knowledge of landscaping equipment and operational requirements preferred.
- Demonstrates qualified skills on all ground's equipment.
- Performs limited maintenance on vehicles and tools to include checking engine/brakes/fuel/tires/water.
- Ability to work without supervision.
- Must operate equipment safely to task specification under all environmental conditions.
