Senior Community Care of Colorado PACE is part of Volunteers of America National Services which serves as the Housing and Healthcare subsidiary of the Volunteers of America parent organization.

Pay: $20.24 - $24.60 per hour, based on previous working experience.

Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, may require some after hours when needed; occasional weekend if needed

The Home Care Scheduler will provide efficient administrative services to the Home Care department, resulting in the delivery of excellent internal customer service.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum two (2) years administrative experience; one-year staffing/scheduling and/or Human Resources experience preferred.
  • CNA Preferred.
Preferred Skills:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Power Point, E-mail and the Internet.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects to a deadline.
  • Well-developed oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; consumer focused.
  • Attentive to detail.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • High degree of professionalism; ability to deal with extremely confidential information.
  • Works well independently and with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions, correspondence and memo; ability to prepare written correspondence.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Maintain files record keeping; track attendance occurrences in accordance with the attendance policy and write up corrective actions as needed for Home Care Staff and turn them in to the Personal Care Supervisor.
  • Oversee the staffing process; develop, maintain and update the Home Care schedule one-month in advance; ensure that agency staff has all the legal requirements prior to assigning them duty in the facility; assist the Personal Care Supervisor and Executive Director in meeting the staffing budget goals by acting as a communications liaison, reconciling agency staff bills against schedules, and by tracking agency hour usage.
  • Develop and maintain a good rapport with Home Care Staff to ensure their willingness to be flexible and to pick up hours when needed.
  • Provide clerical support and assisting in various projects for Home Care.
  • Maintaining medical records including tracking, filing and data entry.
  • Perform routine sites visits as needed.
  • Communicate schedule changes to participants.
  • Communicate Participant concerns and issues with family members and caregivers.
  • First point of contact / Liaison between Personal Care Supervisor and staff, contracted agencies and participants, ensuring all requests and issues are dealt with an appropriate, timely fashion.
  • Provide guidance to CNAs and PCA's on how to resolve issues and complaints that arise with the participants and/or their environment.
  • Review mileage reimbursements and time sheets to ensure accuracy and PTO requests to ensure appropriate coverage prior to final approval by the Manager of Home Care.
  • Maintain communication book and PACE Care with any progress notes initiated by the Manager of Home Care.
  • Assist the Personal Care Supervisor with scheduling Assessments and Supervisor visits.
  • Partner with Transportation Scheduler to ensure CNA or PCA escorts are scheduled for doctor appointments.
  • Backup or the Transportation Scheduler.
