Job Responsibilities:

Position Summary

The Industrial Engineer Intern will support the Continuous Improvement team with Plan for Every Part (PFEP) activities. This role will focus on updating, maintaining, and improving PFEP data accuracy while identifying opportunities to improve material flow, standardization, and data sustainability. The intern will gain hands-on experience working in a manufacturing environment and collaborating cross-functionally with Production, Materials, and CI teams.

Principal Activities / Key Responsibilities

• Update and maintain PFEP data to ensure accuracy and completeness
• Review existing PFEPs to identify gaps, inconsistencies, and improvement opportunities
• Support standardization of PFEP formats and data structure
• Work with the new PFEP Excel file, including data validation and organization
• Assist with analysis related to part presentation, packaging, and material flow
• Collaborate with Continuous Improvement, Production, and Materials teams as needed
• Support documentation and sustainment of PFEP best practices

Learning Objectives

• Gain practical experience in PFEP and material flow concepts
• Apply industrial engineering principles in a real manufacturing environment
• Develop data analysis and Excel skills within an operational setting
• Learn CI tools and standardization methods used in manufacturing operations

Required Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, formulas, basic analysis
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to manufacturing or industrial environments

• Familiarity with Lean / Continuous Improvement concepts
• Experience working with structured data files or templates
