Job Title: Infection Control Practitioner

Position Purpose:
The Infection Control Practitioner assists the Program Director in providing services necessary for the cost effect execution of the facility's Infection Control Program and is responsible for both the Infection Control Program and the Accreditation and Regulatory Program in her absence.
As an Infection Control Practitioner you will:
- Develop, implement, and coordinate the efforts of staff, physicians, students and contract employees in the prevention and control of infections and infectious diseases.
- Perform routine, focused, and outbreak surveillance activities.
- Identify care needs of patients/families, develop interventions and utilize equipment necessary to meet the specific needs of the patient population served.
- Work with all Holy Cross Workers for compliance for JCAHO/OSHA/MOSH requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One of the following: BSN or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology/Microbiology/or related science
- 3-5 years of related experience
- Certification in Infection Control Epidemiology (CIC) must be obtained within 3 years of hire
Pay Range:$39.04 - $58.56 per hour
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
