Job Summary

The Inside Sales Representative will sell products for distribution to our customers. This position will receive orders from customers and input that information into the computer system to create sales orders. The Inside Sales position will also drive repeat business by ensuring customer satisfaction

Function in the Job

Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.
Job Function

• Receive phone calls from customers and prepare sales orders for orders obtained
• Good knowledge of material and market

• Handle all emails, faxes, and other types of communication from customers
• Enter customer quotations into computer and return quotation to the customer
• Send customer acknowledgements for sales orders
• Handle customer questions, concerns, and complaints to maintain current client relationships
• Create Material Return Authorizations when needed
• Maintain needed customer files and records
• Update customer prices, part numbers, etc.
• Visit customers occasionally to maintain good customer relationships
• Assist other inside sales personnel as needed
• Estimate date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of production and delivery
• Open new accounts by sending credit application to customers

Required Skills

Strong phone presence and listening skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multi-task, prioritize and manage time efficiently.Excellent phone etiquette including professional language, courtesy, and customer serviceAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situationsAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers
Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. eStelPlan computer software experience a plus
