Summer Intern Program duration: June 1, 2026 - August 7, 2026. (10 Weeks)
Location: Southington, CT; Jericho, NY; Paramus, NJ - Hybrid
Position: Summer Intern - Credit Risk Administration
As an intern you will be responsible for supporting the Credit Risk Administration team with a wide range of activities:
- Learn about Webster Bank's Risk Management function, with a focus on the Credit Risk Review team
- Gain hands-on exposure to commercial credit policies and procedures used to evaluate and manage loan requests
- Build an understanding of commercial loan documentation, including how loans are structured and how collateral is secured
- Assist the Credit Risk Review team in reviewing whether loans are executed and managed in line with bank policies and documentation
- Develop working knowledge of key systems and processes used within Credit Risk Review and the broader Commercial Bank
- Participate in team projects and operational initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and productivity, as time permits
- Build business acumen through program events that provide exposure to senior leaders, learning and development opportunities, and community service days
- Work on a department-assigned project throughout the 10-week internship and deliver an end-of-program presentation to managers and invited stakeholders

Education, Skills, and Experience Requirements for Interns:
- Current undergraduate rising Junior or Senior enrolled in an accredited college or university who is pursuing a degree in related field and has an interest in the banking/financial services industry
- Resourceful, enthusiastic, and proactive
- Highly organized
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Experience creating and delivering presentations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
- Ability to learn quickly and solve problems
- Strong analytical skills
- Collaborative and inclusive team player
- Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Legally eligible to work in the U.S.
- Required travel to corporate office(s) for events and/or training.
The estimated salary range for this position is $21.00USD to $23.00USD. Actual salary may vary up or down depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position is eligible for incentive compensation.
