Job Summary:
Under the supervision of the Interventional Radiology Supervisor and the assigned proctor, the technologist will be responsible for learning to: assist with assigned interventional radiographic and related procedures for diagnostic interpretation and/or therapeutic interventions; document inventory of materials and supplies used in the related services. Technologist will attend in-service education programs for interventional radiology procedures. Upon completion of program, staff member should be able to meet the minimum, basic competencies of an Interventional Technologist per Job Description.
EDUCATION DESCRIPTION:
Completion of an approved Radiology Technology program is required, in lieu of completion of an approved Radiology Technology program, students in good standing, enrolled in a radiography program, will be accepted.
TRAINING DESCRIPTION:
Basic computer skills, HIS and PACS.
LICENSURE DESCRIPTION:
ARRT registered and current State of Wisconsin license as a Radiographer is required within 2 years of hire.
American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire.
