As an IT Automation Engineer you will:
Role Summary
We are seeking an infrastructure focused Automation Engineer to join our Enterprise IT Automation Team. This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in networking, systems, virtualization, or endpoint computing who is passionate about automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
You will work within an established enterprise automation team responsible for building, operating, and governing infrastructure automation at scale. This role offers hands on experience with modern automation tooling, well defined standards, and opportunities to help evolve those standards, while working closely with multiple IT domains.
What You'll Do
- Design, build, and maintain enterprise infrastructure automation using Ansible and scripting languages
- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and operational workflows across infrastructure platforms
- Build event driven automation, triggered by monitoring alerts, incidents, or workflow systems
- Partner with teams across Networking, Central Systems, Security, Endpoint, and other IT domains to enable repeatable, standardized automation
- Contribute automation content using Git based workflows and CI/CD pipelines
- Integrate automation with upstream and downstream systems using APIs and data sources
- Support observability and operational automation through integrations with tools such as Splunk
- Follow and contribute to enterprise automation standards, patterns, and governance models
Required Experience The following capabilities are considered core requirements for success in this role:
- Strong background in an infrastructure domain (networking, systems, virtualization, or endpoint computing)
- Hands on experience automating infrastructure (Ansible or similar automation frameworks)
- Comfort with scripting using Python and/or PowerShell, plus YAML
- Experience working with Git repositories and in a CI/CD and Agile development environment
- Experience working within GitOps and Gitflow based development workflows at an enterprise scale
- Experience integrating or automating across multiple platforms using APIs
Preferred / Desirable Experience - Experience with NetBox
- Experience with Splunk or observability driven automation
- Experience with ServiceNow triggered automation or CMDB automation
- Familiarity with DevOps and SRE concepts beyond basic monitoring and runbooks

Pay range: $50.00-70.00/hour *Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
