Compensation Amount:
Clean all dishes, glasses, utensils, pots and pans both by hand and automated machine. Maintain cleanliness and proper operation of dish cleaning area and equipment. Assist culinary and other restaurant staff as needed. This position reports to the General Manager.

Wage: $17.77 - $17.77

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Wash dishes, utensils, trays, and cooking supplies using proper sanitation procedures.
  

• Pull trash from trash receptacles. Replace trash bags as needed. Clear trash from tables and floors/grounds.
  

• Clean floor area of any spillage of water, detergent and/or food stuffs per safety and sanitation guidelines.
  

• Fill condiments, utensils, and other supplies with stock as needed.
  

• Loading and unloading of inventory from trucks. Stocking storeroom.
  

• Maintain the kitchen, serving, and dining areas in clean and orderly condition at all times by sweeping, mopping, emptying trash, wiping counters and equipment and organizing shelves in order to maintain a sanitary workstation and to meet mandated health compliance requirements.
  

• Assist chefs, line cooks, and dining room staff as necessary.
  

• Keep all trash cans double-lined and in sanitary condition.
  

• Performs such other related duties as directed or required.
  

• Maintain awareness of safety issues and report them immediately to your manager.
  

SKILL AND KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE

• Partial High School; High School Diploma/G.E.D. equivalent preferred.
  

• Strong sanitation habits including attention to detail.
  

• Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and report it to management.
  

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS

• Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the unit. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
  

• Lift, carry, and push up to 15 lbs. regularly, 20-30 lbs. frequently, and up to 50 lbs. occasionally.
  

• Able to stand for extended periods and climb steps regularly.
  

• Frequent immersion of hands in water.
  

• Constantly communicates and receives verbal communication with other employees in fast paced kitchen.
  

• Withstand temperature extremes in freezer, refrigerator walk-in and grill areas. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments.
  

• Speech recognition and clarity, including the ability to understand the speech of co-workers and the ability to speak clearly to be understood by same in English.
  

• Physical presence at the job site is essential to perform job duties.
  

EQUIPMENT USED

• Retail POS (Point of Sale) system including cash register and credit card terminal
  

• Typical office equipment (computer, phone system, fax, copier, scanner, among others); combination safe
  

• Required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) used: goggles, gloves, cut gloves, mitts
