Job Details:

SUMMARY:

• Ability to interpret accurately for any management or personnel staff.
• Must be able to interpret for any team members who are non- English speaking.
• Ability to interpret documents accurately from English to Lao or Vis versa.
• Must be able to assist the dispensary staff with physicals and doctor appointments including interpretation for any non English-speaking team members at the doctor s office.
• Any other tasks or miscellaneous duties deemed appropriate by the supervisor.
• This position provides interpreting and translation services and administrative support while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.
• Experience: 100 bilingual English Lao Good general knowledge of the production areas and management personnel.
• Skilled in accurate interpretation. Must be able to communicate translate effectively in verbal and written format English Lao and translate written documents.
• Confidentiality is a must.
• Computer Skills: Basic PC skills preferred. Primarily Microsoft programs such as Excel Microsoft Word and Microsoft Office programs.
• Communication Skills: Must be capable of communicating well both verbally and in writing with all levels of team members from hourly to upper management as well as government officials.
• Special Skills: Ability to drive a company vehicle.
• Must carry a valid driver s license. Class D Chauffeurs License is preferred to attend outside appointments
• Excellent people skills and a willingness to assist as needed.
• Ability to work under little supervision.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Split shift with occasional nights / mornings depending on needs.
• An interpreter assessment will be required to determine the individual's language proficiency and ability to effectively communicate both verbal and written.
• A Motor Vehicle Report will be conducted
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must not have any DUI/DWI convictions within the last 12 months
