Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Under general supervision:
1. Apply strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles to perform, review, or audit complex journal entries, account analyses, workpapers, and reconciliations, and perform month end close tasks and/or the consolidation of US and international entities, and/or coordinate external audits, and/or prepare complex tax returns.
2. Prepare analysis of financial results requiring evaluation and judgment of complex situations, and provide other support and recommendations for division management.
3. Prepare budgets, projections, product cost analyses, and other complex analyses including recommendations to management, and/or implement or review internal controls.
4. Perform research and planning according to generally accepted accounting principles, tax laws, and/or IFRS, and make recommendations to management.
5. Lead special projects.
6. Follow and apply SEL Values, Principles of Operations, and World Class Manufacturing Principles.
7. Understand. Create. Simplify.
8. Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Innovative, motivated, self-directed.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong knowledge of accounting and finance principles, theories, and concepts, and/or strong knowledge of GAAP, Tax, and/or IFRS.
6+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance, or related field.
Strong writing, documentation, and speaking skills.
Ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.
Ability to work cooperatively in a team environment.
Background check results satisfactory to SEL.
Negative drug test result(s).
Preferred Qualifications:
CPA, CMA, or CFA; or Master's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; or MBA.
Accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Tax systems.
Tax, audit, project, and/or cost accounting experience.
International accounting experience.
