Overview: ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Licensing Engineer I will provide regulatory and technical support for major station initiatives, ensuring compliance with nuclear safety, licensing, and environmental requirements. The role will interface with engineering teams, plant organizations, vendors, industry peers, and regulators, while supporting assigned tasks with limited supervision. This position will contribute to environmental reviews, collaborate with licensing and legal experts, and provide guidance on regulatory and environmental performance.
This full-time position is located in Richland, WA.
Pay rate: $38.21 - $44.50

Responsibilities: - Provide regulatory and technical support for significant station initiatives and objectives
- Interface with Engineering Projects team members, plant organizations, supporting vendors, industry peers, and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission
- Support assigned tasks in accordance with defined station processes while working with limited supervision
- Consult with Energy Services & Development (ES&D) management to identify, address, and resolve nuclear safety, licensing, and regulatory issues
- Provide strategic guidance and recommendations on regulatory and environmental project performance
- Represent the company with regulators, industry work groups, workshops, and conferences
- Support environmental reviews, including field and onsite visits as needed
- Collaborate with licensing and environmental law experts to resolve licensing and environmental process issues
- Keep ES&D management informed of current licensing and environmental policies, rules, and standards
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university and 1 year of engineering experience in a technical environment
- OR Professional Engineer (PE) license and at least 1 year of engineering experience in a technical environment
- High school diploma or GED
- Knowledge of general engineering principles, practices, theories, and methods
- Ability to identify and solve routine engineering problems
- Ability to apply advanced techniques under guidance and provide regulatory guidance to others
- Experience supporting Regulatory Affairs-related activities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Effective written and verbal communication skills for both technical and non technical audiences
