Logistics Support Specialist

About the Role

The Logistics Support Specialist plays a key role in ensuring the smooth, efficient movement of materials, products, and information throughout the company. This position supports daily logistics operations, coordinates shipments, and communicates with internal teams and external partners to keep everything running on schedule.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, including scheduling pickups and deliveries
  • Track orders and shipments to ensure accuracy and timely fulfillment
  • Communicate with carriers, vendors, and internal departments to resolve issues or delays
  • Prepare shipping documents, labels, and required compliance paperwork
  • Maintain accurate records in logistics and inventory management systems
  • Monitor logistics KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide general administrative and operational support to the logistics and warehouse teams

Qualifications
  • High school diploma required; associate degree in logistics, supply chain, or business preferred
  • 1-3 years of experience in logistics, shipping/receiving, supply chain, or related field
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and logistics/ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, Oracle, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Skills
  • Experience with freight carriers, LTL/FTL shipments, or international logistics
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations and inventory control
  • Familiarity with shipping platforms (UPS, FedEx, USPS, freight portals)
