Maintenance Project Engineer
Full-Time, Permanent
Location: Pleasant Gap, PA

Graymont (PA) is seeking a well-organized, highly motivated individual to fill the position of Maintenance Project Engineer. This individual will lead numerous technical items within our state-of-the-art limestone and lime processing facility including, but not limited to, managing capital projects, maintenance projects, outage planning, equipment refurbishments, and continuous improvement initiatives.

The keys to success will be a strong focus on safety, open/honest communication, teamwork, foresight, planning ability, and continuous improvement in all aspects of both personal performance and plant operation.

Responsibilities
• Execute assigned projects both on time and on budget
• Work with plant operations and maintenance departments to plan and schedule kiln shutdowns
• Work with plant operations to transition projects into their control post commissioning
• Utilize Graymont internal Document Management System
• Ensure projects are designed to follow Graymont basic design standards
• Coordination with Graymont functional leads (Project Engineering, Engineering Support, Process Engineering, Maintenance Support, HSE)
• Effective hand-over of projects to Reliability Engineer so a successful reliability centered maintenance analysis can be completed.
• Identify potential efficiency improvements and cost saving opportunities
• Frequent communication with front line employees to embed continuous improvement culture
• Participate in on-call rotation with plant management team
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability, performance, and efficiency
• Progress and manage multiple tasks/projects at any given time

Qualifications & Experience
• Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or a related technical degree (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
• Relevant Experience: Demonstrated experience managing projects from concept to completion, including budgeting, documentation, and coordination of support resources. Previous roles should reflect a strong commitment to health and safety standards, contractor management, maintenance processes, and outage planning
• Additional Assets: MSHA certification and prior MSHA experience are considered an asset.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, PowerPoint, and Project. Working knowledge of JD Edwards (JDE) software and experience with AutoCAD
• Required Knowledge and Skills:
- Strong understanding of project management principles and execution
- Ability to manage contractors to ensure projects are completed safely and efficientlyExcellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid understanding of maintenance processes and outage planning.
