Job Summary
Service Steel Aerospace is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Plant Operations Leader to take full ownership of plant performance, operational excellence, and workforce leadership. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment and is passionate about driving continuous improvement, operational scalability, and cultural transformation.
Reporting directly to senior leadership, you will play a critical role in aligning plant operations with corporate objectives, optimizing production systems, and building a high-performance team.

- Own end-to-end plant operations, including production, scheduling, materials flow, and inventory strategy
- Drive operational performance aligned with financial targets, customer demand, and growth objectives
- Champion lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
Leadership & Culture Development
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing operations team
- Establish a culture rooted in accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
- Act as a visible and trusted leader, fostering strong communication and cross-functional collaboration
Performance & Productivity
- Define and execute KPIs tied to throughput, efficiency, quality, and on-time delivery
- Identify operational constraints and implement scalable solutions
- Lead initiatives that enhance labor productivity and process efficiency
Process Innovation & Capital Planning
- Evaluate and implement process improvements and advanced manufacturing technologies
- Partner with executive leadership to support capital investment strategies and long-term growth
- Drive innovation through structured problem-solving and team engagement
Quality & Compliance Excellence
- Ensure adherence to aerospace quality standards and regulatory requirements
- Establish a proactive quality culture with strong accountability and rapid issue resolution
Safety & Risk Management
- Lead and continuously improve safety programs to ensure a zero-incident culture
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and corporate standards
Required Skills
- Proven operations leader with experience in aerospace metals or related manufacturing industries
- Demonstrated success driving operational excellence and cultural transformation
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance strategic vision and hands-on execution
- Experience with aerospace quality systems and safety compliance
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
- Data-driven mindset with strong analytical capabilities
- Bilingual Spanish/English preferred
Compensation RangeThe anticipated compensation for this position is USD $75,000.00/Yr. - USD $150,000.00/Yr. depending on experience, qualifications, and location.
