We're seeking a Marketing Specialist - Pursuits to support Texas business development and Texas pursuit efforts across the firm. This role is essential to creating high-quality, compelling proposals and marketing materials that help win work and elevate GBA's brand.
What You'll Do
As a Marketing Specialist - Pursuits, you'll:
- Support pursuit efforts by writing, editing, and customizing proposals, qualifications (RFQs), and interview materials.
- Guide technical teams through the pursuit process, providing recommendations to strengthen messaging and improve win strategies.
- Develop high-quality, visually compelling marketing deliverables for proposals, presentations, and campaigns.
- Create impactful internal and external presentations for interviews, conferences, and leadership meetings.
- Contribute to marketing collateral, including brochures, project profiles, resumes, and recruiting materials.
- Write and maintain project descriptions and staff resumes, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
- Collect, organize, and manage project imagery and marketing data within CRM systems and shared drives.
- Collaborate on trade show and conference planning, including promotional materials, signage, and logistics.
- Support corporate communications initiatives, including social media, press releases, newsletters, web content, and client-facing communications.
- Implement marketing strategies aligned with company goals and performance metrics.
- Maintain and update marketing content, data, and tools to support business development efforts.
What You Bring - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2+ years of experience supporting marketing, proposals, or business development efforts.
- Strong writing and editing skills, with attention to tone, clarity, grammar, and detail.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Familiarity with CRM systems; experience with Unanet preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
- Ability to incorporate feedback from multiple stakeholders to improve quality and outcomes.
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and problem-solving.
Physical Requirements - Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
- Ability to sit and/or stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and transport marketing materials (up to 50 lbs), such as signage or event materials.
Travel - Up to 15% travel for training, conferences, trade shows, and company events (local, regional, and national).
